Is this a valid use of "-i" // place of?

ᎦᏄᎸᎢ ᎾᎥ ᎠᏉᏝ.

I am sitting near the grassy place (the place of grass).

Then also there is "-hi", in or on:

ᎦᏄᎸᎯ ᎠᏉᎠ.
I am sitting in the grass.

ᎤᏪᏴᎢᎯ ᎨᎦ.
I am going into the river.

ᏥᏍᏚ ᎤᏪᏴᎢᎯ.
The rabbit is in the river.

Ꮭ ᎤᏪᏴᎢᎯ ᎠᏴ ᏱᎩ.
I am not in the river.

Are these correct?

I really don't know any difference between hi/i, sometimes I'll even use -yi.

Though, I also use -o/oi for in.

gaduhoi gedoha. I am in town for a while. (However, I'm dropping this usage because I have not seen it used anywhere since I learned of it. So I think it's one of my "false" memories).
