What does the suffice -Ᏻ stand for?

It appears repeatedly in the Hymns I am working on:

Hymn 55, verse 4 wrote:4. ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗ.Ᏻ ᎿᏉ ᎢᏗᎪᏩᏘᎭ! ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᏥᎨᏒᎩ ᎬᏂᏳᏉ ᏓᎴᎲᏍᎦ!

Here is the whole thing for context:

(the embedded periods mean either silent vowel in syllable or silent syllable follows)

Hymn 55 wrote:1. ᎠᏲᎱᏍᎦ! ᎠᏂᏍᎦᎾ ᏧᎨᏳᎯ ᎠᏲᎱᏍᎦ! ᎦᎸᎶ ᎠᎵᏏᎲᏍᎦ! ᎡᎶᎯ Ꭰ.ᎵᏖᎸᎲᏍᎦ!

2. ᎡᏤᎾ ᎢᏦᎯᏳᏅ.Ꭿ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏥᏍᎪᏂᎮᏍᏗ, ᏂᎯ ᎢᏥᎩᎵᏲᏤ.Ꭽ; ᏂᎯ ᎢᏥᏲᎱᎯᏎ.Ꭽ.

3. ᎤᏣᏘ ᎤᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗ! ᎤᎬᏫᏳ.Ꭿ ᎠᏲᎱᏍᎦ! ᏴᏫ ᎤᏂᏍᎦᏅᏨᎢ ᎤᎩᎬ ᎤᏤᏬᏤᎭ!

4. ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗ.Ᏻ ᎿᏉ ᎢᏗᎪᏩᏘᎭ! ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᏥᎨᏒᎩ ᎬᏂᏳᏉ ᏓᎴᎲᏍᎦ!

5. ᎿᏉ ᎤᏙᏓ ᏧᏬᎸ ᎢᏗᏢ ᏫᏕᎠᎴᏓ! ᎾᎿ ᏧᏁᏤᎵᏓᏍᏗ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎬᏩᏓᏂᎸᎦ!

6. Ꭷ ᎿᏉ ᎢᏥᏲᎯᏍᏓ ᏕᏥᎦᏌᏬᎢᎲᎢ; ᎿᏉ ᎡᏣᎵᎡᎵᎩ ᎢᏣ.ᎵᏌᎳᏓᏁᎸᎯ.

Ᏻ, Ᏼ, or Ꮿ is something like, "very", there's also -ᏗᎨ which sometimes takes its place in other dialects.

ᎤᏔᏂᏗᎨ Very big, Large
ᎤᏍᏗᏗᎨ Very small, tiny (With ᏗᎨ)
ᎤᏍᏗᏴᎢ Very small, tiny (with Ᏼ/Ᏻ/Ꮿ)

ᎣᏏᏴᎢ You may have seen this one as ᎣᏏᏳᎢ "Very good", "Very well"

(Note: I question the Ꮿ variant. I don't recollect ever seeing it before, so I may be wrong on that one. It just sound almost like Ᏼ that I probably am imposing)

ᎤᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗᏳ = Very happy

Ᏻ can be used for very, as well as indicative of being authoritative.

ᏩᏙᏳ!

:)

Hrmmm how does this compare with ᎣᏍᏓᏛ ?

Yes, that makes sense, I am surprised though that it is not listed (where I can find it anyways) in either the Durbin-Feeling or in "A Reference to Oklahoma Cherokee..."

Um, I don't think that's possible...

Reading this made me realize just how many there are...Yeesh...

Ok, -Ᏻ, -Ᏼ can be thought of as "intensifiers", I guess...Would need a Native speaker to elaborate more.
(Oh, before I forget, I've mentioned -ᏗᎨ, there's also -Ꮎ or -ᏅᎢ, and a shortening of -ᏗᎨ to merely Ꭸ, but so far I've only seen that in ᎦᎸᎳᏗᎨ. Oh, also, there's the "greater intensifier" which uses those suffixes plus the prefix Ꮻ- or in some circumstances Ꮹ-.)

(Hmm, thinking about what ᏦᎳᏧᎭᏟ said, I think that might be a better explanation of it.

Perhaps someone can figure out what I'm thinking. My vocabulary is too limited at this moment to elaborate further).

As for -Ꮫ, this is in reply to a question.
ᎯᎠᏍ ᏥᏍᏚ? Is this a rabbit?
ᎥᎥ, ᏥᏍᏚᏛ. Yes, it is definitely/truly a rabbit.

Of course there's one more, -Ꮣ. I've come across it a few times, and still not too sure about it, but the only word that I know very well is ᎨᎵᎠᏓ (I think so), however, this may be a "imposed" memory and therefore this may be just another variant of -Ꮫ.

Yes, that makes sense, I am surprised though that it is not listed (where I can find it anyways) in either the Durbin-Feeling or in "A Reference to Oklahoma Cherokee..."

I really don't know. I don't even know where I learned of it, except that it was one of the first things I learned. However, I do know the "Beginning Cherokee" book has a section which explains the -Ꮎ and -ᏅᎢ suffix plus the use of the Ꮻ- or Ꮹ- prefix.

There's another form that I forgot about, -Ᏸ (-ye). I posted an example on the thread here, with a link to it's source.
